Forms constricted to a plane, yearning to be free. Multitudes of expression, endless possibilities of shapes, the inevitable hissing rising from the dreaded empty page.

This piece is inspired by the Futurists' concept of 'universal dynamism' - the idea that separations between objects and their contexts are an illusion and time makes any distinctions meaningless. It tries to capture the expressivity of the moving object along all its potential vectors.

This piece evolved from my #genuary piece for 'Minimalism' (which was even then more surrealism than anything else). DEGREES OF FREEDOM is minted as part of #genuary32nd.
