In a world of war, habitat destruction, misogyny, poverty, and pandemics, it can be hard to maintain any equanimity. Everywhere we turn there is a politician or an influencer determined to keep each of us in a state of alarm to the benefit of their own status, power, and greed. And these pale in comparison to those actively and brutally imposing their will on others to the point of loss of life and liberty.

Glyphs II is literally made from strife and suffering. The work is composed of the headlines of the New York Times, gathered during the month of October, 2022. Through the use of asemic fonts and repetition, the words are eroded, effaced, and erased of meaning. By scrubbing the words into a thing of beauty, I defy them, rob them of their power, and turn them into messages of peace.

Those minting Glyphs II will receive a minter royalty of 10%.

Glyphs II is drawn entirely with text using hand crafted fonts embedded in a generative algorithm written in p5.js.
