Swedish Forest

Swedish Forest

My works, until now, have been mostly abstract things, I have always liked to play with code visually and to be surprised by the complexity that appears from simple mathematical formulas. But this time I wanted to do something different, and take as long as the time I needed until I was satisfied. I wanted to draw with code, make an illustration. So instead of working with bitmaps I wanted to try the svg vector format. With the idea of making something that could be printed and that I would enjoy hanging on the wall at home. I was missing a reason, but I immediately found it. And I had no doubt that I wanted to draw a forest, and more specifically a Scandinavian forest.

This project is an animated painting inspired by the long tradition of hanami (flower viewing) The blossoming tree animations have unique leaves and flowers in every token. But at the same time each one has infinite variations because the tree grows every time you play it in different ways. You can also change the layout and resolution as desired or download a high-res snapshot. The flowers are also interactive. I hope you enjoy the experience.

Blob Art Generator

Blob Art Generator

19 Dec 2023100 EDITIONS

This project began with a simple question: what happens when an infinite line follows directions dictated by mathematical functions? The exploration evolved from grayscale reference images to intricate vector fields, where each point on the canvas holds a unique direction. Dissatisfied with chaos, I embraced mathematical functions, refining the results through over 30 adjustable fx(params). Vector fields became the heartbeat of this idea. Parametric functions, influenced by an internal seed, led to captivating shapes. The convergence of lines creates mesmerizing color rivers, fading delicately until dead or exiting the canvas. Thin lines blended, revealing a palette of rich colors and textures. Been aware of the complexity for the collector I introduced a user-friendly interface allowing to craft your token's characteristics. This customization ensures that the minted token reflects your artistic vision. I owe much to the fxhash team—their tool eased the exploration of numerous parameters. Experimentation became intuitive, guiding this project to its aesthetically diverse and captivating state.
