Book of Fortune was inspired by oracle books, a form of literature (or divination) that merges ancient discourse and iconography from traditions like the iChing and the Tarot with a casual and spontaneous need for spiritual connection. The typical oracle book allows for chance in the reading, such as suggesting the opening of a page at random or using a specific method for shuffling or selecting the pages. We were also influenced by Jogo do Bicho (Animal Game), a traditional brazilian gambling game, very popular and illegal, in which each number corresponds to an animal. Tradition says you should play it if you dreamt of an animal.
