Some of you might realize there are some projects that have Lailatul Qoding as a tag.

TLDR? it's a collective of Indonesian generative art enthusiasts. The longer story?

It started with me, , and wondering what the place called fx(hash) really is back in January 2022. We look around our contacts in hope that someone from our art college knows more about these intriguing works that are drawn by code.

is one of those seniors that so into new media art and our bet contacting them was paid, because turned out they have experience playing with hydra and p5.js at one of their play times.

So we set up a meeting in their place to talk more about it and turned out there's one more people that already opened the discussion, it was (was back then)

Knowing that there were more people that take interest in this topic, I set up a Discord server so the discussion, tutorials, and other information can be documented and viewed by more people in the future. Lailatul Qoding is the name of said Discord server.

Now it is almost one year since the group was formed, most of them learned to code seriously and some others started to hoard jpeg more. And I'm more than happy to find and met bright people that have the same grown interest in generative art as me.
